In week 2 of our pre-shot routine challenge I am going to add visualization. After you are done identifying your target, I want you to visualize the ball traveling down your intended target and making the strike or spare. When it comes to visualization, the more detail you add the better it is. Unfortunately your visualization skills need to be practiced. The first few times you try this you may struggle with it. The good thing is you can practice your visualization skills at home. The more you practice them the quicker and more efficient you will become.
When you are practicing at home I want you to try to make the image as real as possible.
- What do you see?
- What do you hear?
- What do you smell?
- What do you feel?
Don’t underestimate the power of visualization! You will be able to use this in your pre-shot routine or when things start going bad and you need to turn it around.
Try to visualize your self practicing for 5 mins a day. Make it as real as possible and try to engage ever sense you have.
